Which rank are you applying for (Casual/Raider)
Raider

Personal Information
Name: Matt
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Country: Australia
Residence country: Australia

Character Information
Main Character Name: Zeuthlol
Class/Race: Orc Rogue
Server: Frostmourne
Armory Link: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.x...amp;cn=Zeuthlol
Current Guild: Tickle Me Emo
Previous Guilds: Aside from Tickle Me Emo, just Eidolon for a short period in TBC.
Played Time (/played): 31 days, I leveled my rogue specifically to raid in WotLK.
What is the reason for you wanting to leave your current guild?

I have problems with internet congestion during the earlier hours that Tickle Me Emo raids, which is why I'm seeking a late night raiding guild when I do not suffer this issue. If I had any other option I would not be leaving them.

Part A

Raiding Information

Communication is important, we use English for raiding. Do you speak English? Do you have vent? Do you have a mic and do you speak on vent when required?

Yes I speak English, have ventrilo and am not a mute on vent.
Do you have a stable connection, and do you suffer from regular disconnection issues?

I will have no issues with my connection during the hours in which you raid.

What is your average FPS and Latency in Dalaran and Ulduar/ToTC/ToGC Raids?

I would say during a raid encounter my average FPS would be around 40-50, latency around 180-220

Our raiding time is ST11pm to 3am (with day light saving, in GMT term, it's 8pm to 12am GMT+8) Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday. Can you meet all these raiding days and times? If not please specify the day/time that you cannot meet and reason, do not apply if you cannot at least make 3 full days.

I will never miss a raid short of my PC exploding on me or some kind of medical emergency.

It is expected you have thorough raiding experience and know ALL encounters and hard modes currently in game. Please list out the followings:
- Raiding experience in TBC (pre-nerf 3.0 raids). Brief summary is ok.

Everything up to SWP pre 3.0 and was attempting Kalecgos at the time 3.0 was released.

- Raiding experience in WotLK prior to Ulduar. Brief summary is ok.

Everything cleared in both 10 & 25 man including 3 drake Sarth priot to Ulduar's release.
- Ulduar hard mode done in 10m and 25m version.

Cleared all Ulduar hard modes in both 10 & 25 man (no zero light yogg though)

- ToGC(this refers to hard mode) 10m and 25m.

5/5 ToGC 10 man with tribute to insanity and was 4/5 ToGC 25 prior to ICC's release, have since gone back and downed Anub 25 hard mode.
Based on your experience in Ulduar/ToGC, explain what you perceive your character's role in the raids.

Kill what needs to be killed and keep myself alive, aside from encounter specifics like interrupts, or wound poison etc. there isn't much else for a rogue to do =p

In your opinion, what is the most difficult boss encounter in WotLK you have ever defeated and why? What was your role in that encounter, please elaborate in details.

I would have to say mimiron hard mode when it was still relevant, dodging mines, fire, frost bombs & shock blasts was a lot to keep track of but it was also a lot of fun.

Pls post a screen shot of your raid UI. (Screenshot has to be in combat and not in town)

And as an extra, here is a video of me on my rogue on one of our professor putricide kills.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmT9s-JjZ6U

Pls provide a recent WOL/WMO/Recount report of a raid that you attended.

Our first Rotface 25(H) kill 1 or 2 weeks ago: http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/peqnm3oek80el7z6/

and our first council, BQ & Valihtira 25(H) kills: http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/190a83pyoynh8unc/

What do you do to prepare for an unfamiliar or new boss encounter?

Find videos on youtube etc. and read up on the strat at stratfu/ wowwiki and usually check the elitist jerks forums to see if there's any encounter specific tricks that my rogue can take advantage of, a good example would be vanishing putricide's tear gas.

What is more important to you: loot or progression? Tell us why
.
Progression, because without progression you would not have access to any decent loot in the first place, but the thrill of defeating a difficult encounter always outweigh's the desire for the gear itself.

What do you think about staying beyond the required raid times to down new content?

I think it's a good thing, if you're so close to downing an encounter and it's time to call the raid it seems like a bit of a waste to give up, especially if that kill would bump you up in the server rankings.

What does guild mean to you?

To me, It means a group of like minded individuals working together to achieve a common goal & making some friends along the way.

Do you have any well-geared alts? If so, please provide an Armory Link.

Not really, I tend to stick with one character at a time, my mage is still in Ulduar 25(H) gear and my DK in mostly ToGC 25 gear.

What makes you different from other applicants? Why should Shidavere choose you?
I am a reliable raider that gives every attempt 100%, I am never unprepared or late to a raid and am loyal to a fault. I understand that you may not have an opening for a rogue at this time but as you are the only guild that meets my needs I would be happy to wait for the opportunity, I am not really interested in leaving Frostmourne in search of another late night guild.

Part B
Is there any Shidavere member who can vouch for you?

Unfortunately no.

Is there anything else you think we should know about you?

Nope.

How can we contact you outside of the game?

I have a mobile phone and I do not have a problem disclosing my phone no. to officers of the guild so they can contact me out of game.

Thanks for reading my Application, hope to speak with you guys soon.
