Raiding Information

Communication is important, we use English for raiding. Do you speak English? Do you have vent? Do you have a mic and do you speak on vent when required?

I speak clear English using Ventrilo via a microphone.

Do you have a stable connection, and do you suffer from regular disconnection issues?

My internet connection is great! I never disconnect nor have any sort of lagging issues whatsoever.

What is your average FPS and Latency in Dalaran and Ulduar/ToTC/ToGC Raids?

With graphics set to max I maintain an average FPS of 50-60 in Dalaran and 30-40 in raid.

Our raiding time is ST11pm to 3am (with day light saving, in GMT term, it's 8pm to 12am GMT+8) Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday. Can you meet all these raiding days and times? If not please specify the day/time that you cannot meet and reason, do not apply if you cannot at least make 3 full days.

I can make all days and times specified without a problem. If I ever have an issue to where I'm unable to make a raid or will be late I will always notify an officer via in-game mail or forum.

It is expected you have thorough raiding experience and know ALL encounters and hard modes currently in game. Please list out the followings:

-TBC: Kara -> Brutallus
-Wrath: Naxx 25 -> Sindrigosa 10 and 9/12 25. I know all fights and I can easily adapt to a different/new strategy for a boss.
-All Ulduar 10 HM kills except for Yogg+1.
-I have few experiences in ToGC but I feel my knowledge of the game and class far outweigh this discrepancy.

Based on your experience in Ulduar/ToGC, explain what you perceive your character's role in the raids.

Shadow priest to me has come a long way since it's introduction in raiding. We're able to output a large sustained amount of dps with minimal downtime and great raid support. A well played shadow priest can easily stay in par with pure dps classes as well as bringing a 3% hit buff, Replenishment, and a substantial amount of party/raid healing via VE. Not only is the Shadow Priest a great utility/support class but as stated before, an awesome dps class with much to offer.

In your opinion, what is the most difficult boss encounter in WotLK you have ever defeated and why? What was your role in that encounter, please elaborate in details.

The amount of difficult encounters I've faced, in my opinion, is quite low. With that being said Ulduar 10 Firefighter is probably the most fun/difficult encounter I've ever completed. Near complete perfection must be maintained throughout the raid group to succeed. Ranged tanking this encounter was what made it so enjoyable for me. Controlling the position of the head during phase 3 was a challenge that took some coordination and effort, and I feel I work great under pressure. Not only was it the most satisfying encounter thus far, I don't believe, aside from the LK, that blizzard could recreate such a challenging and fast paced encounter.

Pls post a screen shot of your raid UI.

Pls provide a recent WOL/WMO/Recount report of a raid that you attended.
I have no recent logs, however I have one from a month ago that excludes a few minor upgrades in gear and the 5% dmg buff from ICC.
WoL Parse

What do you do to prepare for an unfamiliar or new boss encounter?

Read and watch videos and tutorials via Tankspot.com.

What is more important to you: loot or progression? Tell us why.

Progression, hands down. Without the drive to progress and kill new and harder encounters there is no loot. To me raiding is about the challenge of killing a new boss and the reward is the feeling you get after all your hard work on that boss pays off.

What do you think about staying beyond the required raid times to down new content?

All for it.

What does guild mean to you?

A guild is a collaborative effort to explore, conquer, socialize, and succeed within the game.

Do you have any well-geared alts? If so, please provide an Armory Link.

My druid was my main throughout Ulduar, full8.5 blah blah. The rest of my 80s are all commonly geared in t9 and furious/relentless. None worth mentioning.

What makes you different from other applicants? Why should Shidavere choose you?

What sets me apart from other applicants is my ability to easily adjust to any situation and push through with support and guidance within the guild. I can maintain competitive dps for my current gear and respond well to criticism and guidance. I'm willing to do what it takes to better myself as a guild member and active raider and continue to push progression and hardmode encounters.

Part B

Is there any Shidavere member who can vouch for you?

None that can vouch. I had a small conversation with Voltair in Dalaran.

Is there anything else you think we should know about you?

My raiding prowess, and overall guildy composure, remains vigilant through hard times. I've been through guild drama and break ups and the whole bag of tricks. I'm able to lead and be lead without controversy or question. I compose my self the same in game as I do in the real world. I pride myself on professionalism and cleanliness as well as having fun while doing so. There usually is no shortage of lols when I get comfortable with the people I'm with and vis a versa. Overall I believe i would be a strong asset to the guild.

How can we contact you outside of the game?

I check forums regularly and my e-mail as well.
If needed I can provide the e-mail address via Private Message.
