PS... I will try to log out in PvE gear when I log. I am in almost in full 264 lvl gear in my healing set. 13/0/58
Current Guild: Hatred
Previous Guilds: Ashes of the Phoenix
Played Time (/played): At work now. Not sure total time played. But I would say a lot. I play the game every day for a good few hours and weekends more so.
What is the reason for you wanting to leave your current guild? I have made many good friends here on Emerald Dream. I came here because I had an American friend that played on Emerald Dream. The raid days / times are not suitable for me as I am living in Japan.
Part A
Raiding Information
Communication is important, we use English for raiding. Do you speak English? Do you have vent? Do you have a mic and do you speak on vent when required? Yes
Do you have a stable connection, and do you suffer from regular disconnection issues? I never DC and I have a very fast Internet (fiber-optic)
What is your average FPS and Latency in Dalaran and Ulduar/ToTC/ToGC Raids? I am always in the green (Usually under 170 Latency)
Our raiding time is ST11pm to 3am (with day light saving, in GMT term, it's 8pm to 12am GMT+8) Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday. Can you meet all these raiding days and times? If not please specify the day/time that you cannot meet and reason, do not apply if you cannot at least make 3 full days. I have spoken to one of your officers about my raiding times. I am free to raid Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays (any time) / The rest of the week I am free to raid 11:20pm ST and can stay till the end. I am working as an English teacher in Japan and that's the earliest I can get back to raid on my work days.
It is expected you have thorough raiding experience and know ALL encounters and hard modes currently in game. Please list out the followings:
- Raiding experience in TBC (pre-nerf 3.0 raids). Brief summary is ok. Didn't do that much raiding. Main reason was raid times / days. My main reason to change realms to an AU realm.
- Raiding experience in WotLK prior to Ulduar. Brief summary is ok. Nax 10/25 / EoE 10/25 Voa 10/25
- Ulduar hard mode done in 10m and 25m version. I have never tried
- ToGC(this refers to hard mode) 10m and 25m. I have done 10m (Hard Mode). Up to Anub. Never tried 25m
Based on your experience in Ulduar/ToGC, explain what you perceive your character's role in the raids.
I always wanted to play a resto druid. They're an amazing hybrid class, but I've mostly experienced being Resto for the most part. Resto druids are one of the best classes for raid healing. Instant cast HoTs allow for a lot of flexibility and movement for both PVE and PVP situations. For raids, a lot of the time Resto healing is more of a cushion for overall damage, but they can also do decent spike damage healing. The key to Resto healing is pre-emptively casting HoTs, in anticipation of incoming damage. If there's any drawback to Druid healing, it's having lower single-target hps than some other healing classes. It doesn't mean it's impossible for a druid to tank heal or deal with large spike damage (given the right spec), but just that other classes would be more efficient for it.
In your opinion, what is the most difficult boss encounter in WotLK you have ever defeated and why? What was your role in that encounter, please elaborate in details. Good question... I like a fight where there has to be a good bit planning gone into the fight. I found Freya quite challenging when we were on progression in Ulduar (there had to be a lot of situational awareness / positioning). I also found the faction champions on 10m TOGC an interesting fight. We had to aware what was happening and call out cc and work as a team. I love to PvP so this type of fight is one of my favorite boss encounters.
Pls post a screen shot of your raid UI. (Screenshot has to be in combat and not in town). I am at work at the moment. I will try to send one asap. Provided the game is not off tonight.
Pls provide a recent WOL/WMO/Recount report of a raid that you attended. Again... I will try to post later or as soon as I can get one.
What do you do to prepare for an unfamiliar or new boss encounter? I try to research the the fight as best I can to better help me understand the encounter. If possible watch a movie on You Tube. If possible I will watch a few different videos and try to get feedback from a Healing Druids point of view. (Always make sure I have the right potions / enchants / food and flasks for all my raids)
What is more important to you: loot or progression? Tell us why. I would have to say progression. Of course some loot would be nice, too. I would like to think that my Druid is quite well geared and I think loot should go to those who need it most in the raid. In the end we are working as a whole in order to achieve the same goal.
What do you think about staying beyond the required raid times to down new content?
What does guild mean to you?
Do you have any well-geared alts? If so, please provide an Armory Link. http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.x...m&cn=Dyagon

What makes you different from other applicants? Why should Shidavere choose you? I know how to play my Druid in both PvP and PvE. I have had experience in arenas at 2200 and through arenas it has helped me a lot with my raiding. I use a lot of key-binds / macros and I am very good under pressure. I believe this has helped me a lot with my raiding. Plus I will bring the luck of the Irish
Part B
Is there any Shidavere member who can vouch for you? No.
Is there anything else you think we should know about you?
I am from Ireland and currently living / working in Japan. I have been living here for just over five years. I started playing wow a little over two years ago. I went to Emerald Dream because I had a friend on that server. I have enjoyed my time here but I have been unable to access the full content of WoW. The raiding times most guilds run are to early for me as I work. Your guilds raiding times are perfect for me. My days off are Saturdays / Sundays and Mondays. I am free to raid at any time on those days. I am always on during your raiding times and I can commit to any day you are raiding. I know how to play my class in both raids and arenas and I think I will be very helpful to your guild. Thank you.... I hope to hear from you soon... Greg Byrne
