Analogeist
Personal Information
Name: Tosh
Gender: Male
Age: 29
Country: Singapore
Residence country: Singapore

Character Information
Main Character Name: Analogeist
Class/Race: Priest Undead
Server: Frostmourne (newly xfer from Kilrogg Alliance 2 weeks ago)
Armory Link: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.x...p;cn=Analogeist
Current Guild: We Aint Slppin
Previous Guilds: Imperial Mercenaries
Played Time (/played): 264 days, 11hrs, 28mins
What is the reason for you wanting to leave your current guild?
As per stated earlier, i am really new to the server and faction but in all honest opinion.. i love it a lot! Back to the question, i left Imperial Mercenaries based on racial change (it was long overdue) and my retired friends in the guild. Furthermore, there wasn't any competition in terms of progression in that server. In over 5 years of my wow "career", i never had a week of offdays. Raiding is vital in my daily life. Frostmourne had a couple of good pug GDKP but i can't help but to feel really sad that 6/12 was the best i've been into one. I yearn for progression. This is why i come to you, not as "just another applicant" but as an honest dedicated yet commited player.

Part A

Raiding Information

Communication is important, we use English for raiding. Do you speak English? Do you have vent? Do you have a mic and do you speak on vent when required?
I have Ventrillo and a good mic for raiding needs. I am a very vocal person but of course constructively and not talking for the sake of trying to gain attention.

Do you have a stable connection, and do you suffer from regular disconnection issues?
I have been using Maxonline Ultimate for 3 years now and i have not encountered any problems except when TOGC was bugged with Northrend Beasts that causes half of my raid to disconnect in the first few seconds of the encounter.

What is your average FPS and Latency in Dalaran and Ulduar/ToTC/ToGC Raids?
I would say about 40-50 ish while having Medium level of details.

Our raiding time is ST11pm to 3am (with day light saving, in GMT term, it's 8pm to 12am GMT+8) Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday. Can you meet all these raiding days and times? If not please specify the day/time that you cannot meet and reason, do not apply if you cannot at least make 3 full days.
I can make ALL raid days without problem. Attendance has never been an issue to me as i will always be back home by 7pm from work.

It is expected you have thorough raiding experience and know ALL encounters and hard modes currently in game. Please list out the followings:
- Raiding experience in TBC (pre-nerf 3.0 raids).
TBC was by far one of my most favorite expansion ever as it includes SWP. Obtaining server 1st Felmyst and almost had a server 1st again for Muruu but fell short due to the US players being able to raid ahead of us. SWP was definitely a very good benchmark to differentiate between a good and mediocre players. I was from Moonlight Dancers then when i did these (perhaps one of better local guilds).
- Raiding experience in WotLK prior to Ulduar. I have seen most of what many new players have not, so i don't think i will lack in this field.
- Ulduar hard mode done in 10m and 25m version. IM was starting to fell apart losing core players which hindered the progression and Algalon was never meant to be, sadly.
- ToGC(this refers to hard mode) 10m and 25m. We had months trying to down Anub (TOGC25) and yet we were running short of holy pallies and ended up with very bare raid composition that seemed impossible.
- ICC 10m and 25m. 12/12 and 11/12 respectively.

I would want to sum this up. I have experience that goes all the way back from MC/BWL/Naxx etc and i love raiding as much as i love to have a bottle of green tea while at it =D

Based on your experience in Ulduar/ToGC, explain what you perceive your character's role in the raids.
I believe that the role of a shadowpriest spans more than just to maximise DPS. Apart from providing AOE heals via Vampiric Embarce, i too anticipate the raid's positioning and making sure that no one dies during transition. Shielding, renew, POM, i will do anything to help my fellow raiders to prevent the inevitable. Never say die attitude if you wanna assume. I play disc in arena so i pretty much knows what's its capabilities.

In your opinion, what is the most difficult boss encounter in WotLK you have ever defeated and why? What was your role in that encounter, please elaborate in details.
That would be TOGC Faction Champions when we attempted it on 1st night. I had to keep everyone dispel and of course mass dispelling bloodlust off the enemies. Explaining to them what each abilities of certain classes has.

Pls post a screen shot of your raid UI. (Screenshot has to be in combat and not in town)

Pls provide a recent WOL/WMO/Recount report of a raid that you attended.
I have not raided seriously ever since i xferred and i lost the recount report of my previous raids due to upgrading of my new Windows 7 OS.

What do you do to prepare for an unfamiliar or new boss encounter?
I will read strats from tankspot and stratsfu. Apart from that, i will steal time to watch videos at work so i come prepared.

What is more important to you: loot or progression? Tell us why.
Progression definitely, no doubt about it. Nothing makes me more satisfied than having to defeat the end game content thru the night. And i really meant it.

What do you think about staying beyond the required raid times to down new content?
I will gladly do it anytime even if the raid stretches till 3am. Those were the days.. i miss those days.

What does guild mean to you?
Tying new bonds as a family. I have been playing wow since vanilla and i have made many new friends and still keeping in touch with most of them. You know, asking "what's up" and stuff. Off raid times, i will chill with any of guildies pvp kakis to roll some alliance scum bags. Alright maybe not THAT bad =/

Do you play actively outside of raiding?
I do a lot of arena during my spare time. Trying to grind a duelist this season. This of course will not interfere with my raiding commitments at all.

Do you have any well-geared alts? If so, please provide an Armory Link.
All these years, i devote all my time on my shadow priest. I did play a hunter back then but it is still lvl 60 tho.

What makes you different from other applicants? Why should Shidavere choose you?
I have good raid awareness that many applicants lacks. I also have tuckloads of experience to bag too. I am highly commited to any guild that makes me a part of them. I have been with only 3 raiding guilds namely Untamed Trinity (probably could have been number one in Singapore back in Gorgannash), Moonlight Dancers and Imperial Mercenaries. All that aside, i'm an overall fun and easy-going person that will defnitely add new life to Shidavere.

Part B
Is there any Shidavere member who can vouch for you?
Angrypriest and Pacifzm. Did BGs with angry and arena with Pacifzm. Fun bunch of guys =D

Is there anything else you think we should know about you?
I am a graphic designer in a major publication firm here doing an automotive magazine. I spend most of time playing wow after work and chill with friends over a cup of coffee at Starbucks hoping to get to know more of the opposite sex but never did =(

How can we contact you outside of the game?
I can be contacted via my email tosh_blackwind@hotmail.com or mobile.

hmmm.. just wondering...how come u have sp/crit as well as a spell pene gem in your gear? i was just reading shadowpriest.com and the only gems they'd recommend are sp/spirit, pure sp and sp/haste and there seems to also be a trend towards gemming for socket bonuses. Also, is your spec for pvp?

Spell pen was gemmed while i was doing arena for the past couple of days. And yes, it's in PVP spec and will definitely do a respec + regems (for the spell pen ones) before raid for sure. Stated earlier, i maximise gemming + enchant in whichever i strive upon - be it PVE or PVP. So i don't go in with a chopped hand into raiding etc =D

Thank you for your kind observation, it is much appreciated!

Quick question, when u apply to raid. What are ur commitments to PVP arena? Are u going to regem everytime u raid and everytime u PVP? LOL :X

Spell penetration is vital in arena so yeah I will do regemming over the weekend for my arena pleasure. Hehe I have 100+ gems in my bank after much farming in bg for the past weeks. =P
