Part A
Raiding Information
Communication is important, we use English for raiding. Do you speak English? Do you have vent? Do you have a mic and do you speak on vent when required?
Yes, I speak English, and I am not shy to communicate on Vent when necessary.
Do you have a stable connection, and do you suffer from regular disconnection issues?
Yes, 10mbps Singtel. Stable connection during raids.
What is your average FPS and Latency in Dalaran and Ulduar/ToTC/ToGC Raids?
Latency : approx 300-400ms.
FPS : approx 40.
Our raiding time is ST11pm to 3am (with day light saving, in GMT term, it's 8pm to 12am GMT+8) Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday. Can you meet all these raiding days and times? If not please specify the day/time that you cannot meet and reason, do not apply if you cannot at least make 3 full days.
I can make all days.
It is expected you have thorough raiding experience and know ALL encounters and hard modes currently in game. Please list out the followings:
- Raiding experience in TBC (pre-nerf 3.0 raids). Brief summary is ok.
I full cleared Hyjal/BT on my pally which was my main at that time.
Did not do much of Sunwell due to work commitments.
- Raiding experience in WotLK prior to Ulduar. Brief summary is ok.
Naxx/Sarth/Malygos - all cleared with The Storm.
- Ulduar hard mode done in 10m and 25m version.
Uld 10HM cleared, Uld 25 man cleared apart from Algalon, and Uld 25HM lacking a few achievements.
- ToGC(this refers to hard mode) 10m and 25m.
TOGC10/25 HM cleared.
- ICC 10m and 25m.
ICC 10m 11/12 ( I do not have a regular 10 man group so most often pugged ) - HM cleared up till Sindra.
ICC 25m HM - cleared up to PP
Based on your experience in Ulduar/ToGC, explain what you perceive your character's role in the raids.
Healers work as a team, and most often each has a specified role but we cross-cover when necessary.
As a druid healer, i concentrate mainly on raid heals with blanket rejuvenation --> WG, whilst keeping dots active on tanks with LB, rejuv+ regrowth.
In your opinion, what is the most difficult boss encounter in WotLK you have ever defeated and why? What was your role in that encounter, please elaborate in details.
HM Marrowgar, although it becomes simpler with practise. Generally a healing intensive fight especially during bone storm but once people becomes familiar with raid mechanics, it becomes easier.
Lifebloom X 3, rejuv+ regrowth of tanks --> rejuv+ swiftmend those on spikes --> blanket rejuv raid prior to bone storm + WG.
whenever swiftmend is up, i try to keep it for those critically low on health / on bone spikes.
Pls post a screen shot of your raid UI. (Screenshot has to be in combat and not in town)
@ work - will do so on Wednesday, during raid time.
Pls provide a recent WOL/WMO/Recount report of a raid that you attended.
@ work - will do so on Wed, post-raid.
What do you do to prepare for an unfamiliar or new boss encounter?
Read up general information + video.
Also read up on healing mechanics for the fight.
What is more important to you: loot or progression? Tell us why.
Progression. The whole point of the game is to progress as a team , and see end-game content. Loot is to aid progression.
What do you think about staying beyond the required raid times to down new content?
Yes, why not?
What does guild mean to you?
Guild is home in WoW where friendships are formed and you work as a team. Mutual respect is very important, and you have to act responsibly because your actions indirectly affects the guild/raid i.e AFK without notice during raid - delays raid, not prepared- affects raid performance, etc.
Do you play actively outside of raiding?
On weekends, I do.
Do you have any well-geared alts? If so, please provide an Armory Link.
Unfortunately, I only have 1 80, and the rest are low-leveled alts. No time, although i am levelling a paladin, SLOWLY.
What makes you different from other applicants? Why should Shidavere choose you?
I have good raid ethics - I am always early, conscientious and come well-prepared.
I am friendly, and approachable.
Part B
Is there any Shidavere member who can vouch for you?
Unfortunately, not.
Is there anything else you think we should know about you?
Not that I know of.
How can we contact you outside of the game?
