Raiding Information

Communication is important, we use English for raiding. Do you speak English? Do you have vent? Do you have a mic and do you speak on vent when required? Yes i do, have vent mic and will speak when required

Do you have a stable connection, and do you suffer from regular disconnection issues? Very stable connection, 90gig worth of downloads amonth, never disconect never lag

What is your average FPS and Latency in Dalaran and Ulduar/ToTC/ToGC Raids?
Dalaran fps :52 stays constant at that in any raids/any city Latency 300

Our raiding time is ST11pm to 3am (with day light saving, in GMT term, it's 8pm to 12am GMT+8) Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday. Can you meet all these raiding days and times? If not please specify the day/time that you cannot meet and reason, do not apply if you cannot at least make 3 full days. Yes i am able to make all of these raid times, no problems. Parents dont mind me playing wow as im 18 and they say i can do what ever i want with my life, will be no interupts to the raiding scheldule or anything, start holidays in 3 days so will be playing asmuch as i want.

It is expected you have thorough raiding experience and know ALL encounters and hard modes currently in game. Please list out the followings:
- Raiding experience in TBC (pre-nerf 3.0 raids). Brief summary is ok. Cleared ony, naxx and had only started black temple before burning crusade, back in the day i wasnt playing that much.
- Raiding experience in WotLK prior to Ulduar. Brief summary is ok. cleared all of naxx 10/25, ony 10/25
- Ulduar hard mode done in 10m and 25m version. have completed all of the HM's in 10 man, have the rusted proto drake to prove so. 25 man~ have only done stukin the furnace
- ToGC(this refers to hard mode) 10m and 25m. 3/5 togc 10, everytime i tryed going there with a pug on my old server it failed hardcore, not many people were good, havent tryed it since being on frostmourne due to only arriving on this server last night. None on 25
- ICC 10m and 25m.
10: Have done everythign bar LK 10 on this character, i have done lichking 10 for my brother on his character as well as i have seen the fight mutiple times and friends houses, also studied the fight via youtube and tankspot
25: only done 7/12 on this character in 25 man, have done 11/12 on my brothers shaman as stated above, i was playing that character for him when i wasnt pvp/raiding on this character while he was taking a break, have achievements to prove this and will show in game if requested

Based on your experience in Ulduar/ToGC, explain what you perceive your character's role in the raids.
I see my role in raids to be strive for the best DPS/DMG output that i can do, also when called for will BOP someone in the raid and i constantly keep an eye on my omen, if i see that someone is getting very high on the threat ill hand of salv them straight away, no point in a raid wiping or peopel dieing due to such a small issue, also if im low on health and havent had a heal chucked on me, i will use my instant flash of light instead of instant exorcism, if a healers busy and im close to dieing ill chuck heals on my self and people around, have done it before and it has helped raids in the past.

In your opinion, what is the most difficult boss encounter in WotLK you have ever defeated and why? What was your role in that encounter, please elaborate in details.
I believe Lichking is the hardest fight in WOTLK, when i killed 10 LK i was tanking it on my brothers pally for him, tanking the fight isnt the hardest off roles but it can be in some situations. The reason why i believe for LK to be the hardest fight in the game which i have sucesfully killed is because if one person fucks up it can pretty much screw up your raid, 1 person stands in defile and it's GG, DXE can be wrong and everyone could be preparing for a valk then a defile.
Pls post a screen shot of your raid UI. (Screenshot has to be in combat and not in town)

( UI is squished as i recently changed UI and forgot to turn UI scale to the lowest, is all spaced out now)

Pls provide a recent WOL/WMO/Recount report of a raid that you attended.

What do you do to prepare for an unfamiliar or new boss encounter? Firstly i'd go to youtube and just search the particular fight, then search for a melee DPS POV, watch the fight a coupple of times till i have everything down pat on what i will need to do. What do you do to prepare for an unfamiliar or new boss encounter? Firstly i'd go to youtube and just search the particular fight, then search for a melee DPS POV, watch the fight a coupple of times till i have everything down pat on what i will need to do. If im still uncertain with the fight i will read up the fight and ask friends whom have killed the fight on how they found it most succesful to do, and if the fight isnt already released on live servers i go to tankspot and read up the fight and watch the videos.

What is more important to you: loot or progression? Tell us why.
Progression~ What's the point in playing a game if your unable to have fun because your killing the same bosses every week, week in week out, Sure getting loot is nice but it isnt an essential to me, i wont go crying in my corner if i dont get loot because at the end of the day killing bosses is more entertaining then seeing new purples. Whats the point in someone being a loothore and then the guild not succedding at something? Progression at the end of the day is the challenging part of world of warcraft which i look forward to, Blizzard have made it too easy for retards to get geared just by doing GDKP's or getting carried.

What do you think about staying beyond the required raid times to down new content?
i dont mind staying up beyond the designated raid times to down new bosses, it's apart of the game and being in a dedicated raiding guild, If you want to succeed in the game you have to be willing to put in the hours is how i think about it, Staying up late is apart of world of warcraft which i am use Throughly use to
What does guild mean to you?
A guild to me is pretty much a group of people who have decided to come together to get the ultimate wow expierence from this game we spend so much money on. Guild represents a virtual family, you grow close together you have fun and there are also hard times along the road when people are becomming frustrated because something isnt going as planned.
Guilds are ment to help each other, no point in being in a guild if your going to be an outsider and just sititng there twiddling your fingers doing abosolutely nothing to help your fellow peers and raiders.
Do you play actively outside of raiding?
Yes of course when im not raiding im normally online chilling with the my friends or pvping, im a keen pvper and i have been one since the day i was able to pvp.
Do you have any well-geared alts? If so, please provide an Armory Link.
No my alts are crap geared sad.gif
What makes you different from other applicants? Why should Shidavere choose you?
i think you guys should choose me because im commited to this game, i've been playing for nearly 4 years. Sure my progression isnt up to standards with you guys but im a keen learner. Once i joined the guild you'd probs see me sitting in a capital city AFK'ing until a raid, researching the fights like i would research a school project, i research the encounters very seriously, i dont want to come into a raid and then cause a raid wipe because i have no idea what im doing.
Also i believe i should be chosen because i would put 110% into all guild events, and i would try my hardest in all raids which i have been invited to, so that i dont dissapoint the fellow raiders
Part B
Is there any Shidavere member who can vouch for you?

Is there anything else you think we should know about you?
i'm a really sporty person, i currently represent Victoria for rowing, sure this probably doesnt mean anything but i thought i would just say, My rowing doesnt affect my raiding as i row between 12-2pm for training 3 times a week, this is easily negotiable for me as i choose the days that i want to train.
How can we contact you outside of the game?
mad_oza@hotmail.com
and will be willing to give my mobile number to an officer.
