What is the reason for you wanting to leave your current guild? I server transferred from a US server about a month or so ago, I've been trying out different guilds but haven't found a raiding environment which feels dedicated to progression.

Part A

Raiding Information

Communication is important, we use English for raiding. Do you speak English? Do you have vent? Do you have a mic and do you speak on vent when required? Yes to all of the above, I also have an 8-man vent server set-up on my computer for kicks tongue.gif... With vent, i'm not a vent whore, but if I feel something needs to be said to avoid a wipe, or increase dps, or whatever, if it needs to be said, I will say it...

Do you have a stable connection, and do you suffer from regular disconnection issues? I have a 24Mbit ADSL2+ connection with a 160GB cap. As I live close to the Wollongong CBD the connection is very stable, I suffer from about 1 disconnect every 2-4 weeks.

What is your average FPS and Latency in Dalaran and Ulduar/ToTC/ToGC Raids? In Dalaran right now, i'm getting 251ms and 30fps, while in a raiding environment, the latency remains the same, 200-300ms, while the frames increase to 50-60fps.

Our raiding time is ST11pm to 3am (with day light saving, in GMT term, it's 8pm to 12am GMT+8) Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday. Can you meet all these raiding days and times? If not please specify the day/time that you cannot meet and reason, do not apply if you cannot at least make 3 full days. I can make all raid times.

It is expected you have thorough raiding experience and know ALL encounters and hard modes currently in game. Please list out the followings:
- Raiding experience in TBC (pre-nerf 3.0 raids). Brief summary is ok.
- Raiding experience in WotLK prior to Ulduar. Brief summary is ok.
- Ulduar hard mode done in 10m and 25m version.
- ToGC(this refers to hard mode) 10m and 25m
.
- To all of the above I have virtually no hardmode experience, I started playing wow October 09, and got my first 80 at the start of this year. Because of this any hardmode or serious raiding has occured in ICC alone.
- ICC 10m and 25m.
- ICC 10 I have loads of experience with, I started the 10m normal version with my previous guild on the Altar of Storms server at the start of April (My "Gone and Made a Mess" achieve is dated 11/4/10) we progressed through and by the end of the month we had downed the LK (My "Frozen Throne" achieve is dated 30/4/10) since then I changed server to Frostmourne as my friends all started playing again. Because of my server change with no real guild waiting on the other end I've been cursed to the land of PuG's, so havn't made any serious HM progression. With all that said:
- ICC10(N/H) 12/12 6/12
- ICC25(N/H) 10/12 -----

Based on your experience in Ulduar/ToGC, explain what you perceive your character's role in the raids. My characters role in raids is that of the raid healer. While I have other abilities such as cyclone, roots, innervate, hibernate, thorns, and of course MotW; the main role of a resto druid is to continually pump HoTs on the raid where they will be most useful. This being said most druid healing is done preemptively, healing before damage is taken, to ensure other abilities such as swiftmend, which relies on a HoT, can be used when required.

In your opinion, what is the most difficult boss encounter in WotLK you have ever defeated and why? What was your role in that encounter, please elaborate in details. As cliched as it is the LK encounter in 10ICC was probably the most difficult fight i've attempted. While the fight isn't the most difficult thing to understand, there is alot of it, and the smallest mistakes can be devastating. As a healer in this fight, and especially as a healer with an innervate, I had a large role in monitoring my own, and the DPS's mana to ensure noone would go oom at a critical moment. It has to be the only fight you can pump out 3-4 innervates. This role tied together with the usual dodge defile and run to center for valks proved to be a very challenging fight. With some work and few changes to strategy we managed to get the LK down on our 3rd attempt.

Pls post a screen shot of your raid UI. (Screenshot has to be in combat and not in town)

Pls provide a recent WOL/WMO/Recount report of a raid that you attended.

What do you do to prepare for an unfamiliar or new boss encounter? There's not many of them left, but when I do encounter them, or am coming up against a fight I need to refresh i'll do a couple of different things to prepare. The first will be to find a full list of the bosses abilities on wowwiki.com, I do this to ensure i'm not missing any important part of the picture, and to make sure i'm getting the most out of the videos I watch, which leads to the second part. Youtube videos, there is no better way to get an overall feel for a new fight than to watch it, and i'll seek Tankspot videos, and other relevant video's preferably from a healers point of view. For example, if I needed a refresh on the blood queen 25man heroic fight these sites i'd be visiting and studying:
After getting the theory of the fight down, i'd then find a raid leader and make sure my strategy is in line with the guild strat. i.e. Do you want the healers in the middle during the ground phase? Pact of darkfallen meets at center? etc etc...

What is more important to you: loot or progression? Tell us why. Progression is far more important, to have your raid group work like a well oiled clock, to the point where everyone is intelligently reacting to situations as a team, is the greatest accomplishment for me as a raider. Loot is important only in the sense that it aids progression. With that said, I'm a huge supporter of loot going where the guild/group as a whole will feel the benefits the most.

What do you think about staying beyond the required raid times to down new content? Never a problem, I'm always happy to continue on progression when the group majority feels we should.

What does guild mean to you? To me a guild is a group of like minded individuals, playing together to achieve common goals, while enjoying their time together. I love to joke and have fun with my guildies, and without the social element a guild brings, WoW can be pretty boring. But most of all, for a member to be proud of his guild, common goals need to be completed, and for me this is serious progression into ICC.

Do you play actively outside of raiding? Definately, I'm a bit of an achievement whore, although I have a long way to go, i've got my loremaster achieve (biggrin.gif!) and some other more difficult achieves. I'm also currently leveling a paladin, and have a DK that i'm currently trying to get into ICC for some more runs each week.

Do you have any well-geared alts? If so, please provide an Armory Link. None ready for ICC progression.

What makes you different from other applicants? Why should Shidavere choose you? I'm a friendly guy, and love to have fun raiding and joking about with my guildies. But when the times come each week to raid, I take my special helmet off, grab a can of Redbull, and take it seriously. While I haven't been involved in many 25man hard mode fights, this is because I haven't been given the chance to raid with a proper 25man group, and is why I'm coming to you. I believe I have the skill and dedication to raiding to heavily contribute to your raiding teams, which can be seen in the time it took me to finish ICC10 when given the chance (3 weeks).

I also read heavily into my spec and talent options, I've read most if not all of the elitist jerks information regarding my class, and gear/enchant appropriately.

Part B

Is there any Shidavere member who can vouch for you? Unfortunately no.

Is there anything else you think we should know about you? As much as I love to have fun raiding, I take progression very seriously. I know my boss fights, I know my class, and I constantly perform in game.

How can we contact you outside of the game? I'd be happy to give my mobile number to the officers if accepted.
